What document do I need to take lessons?
You will need an out of country, out of state or international driver’s license or a state of WA instruction permit. If you have none of these, please see our DOL Testing page for information on what to do next.
How do I sign up for lessons?
–Click on the “Click HERE to get started” button on the Adult Drivers page.
–You can then look at our available lesson times and let us know what will work for you.
–You will fill out a small application and we’ll get in touch with you with our soonest available openings within the times that you tell us will work for you.
–Once we’ve agreed upon the lesson times, we will email you a link to pay.
–When the payment comes through, we will schedule your lessons.
How many lessons will I need?
It depends on your prior experience and your ability to practice outside of instruction time. You and your instructor will know more after your first lesson.
Can I use my own car?
No. Due to insurance requirements and safety for student and instructor, all lessons must take place in our school vehicles
What will I learn during my lesson?
Each lesson is based on what you tell your instructor you would like to learn and your prior experience.
Can I take my driving test with Xcelerate when I’m finished with my lessons?
Yes! Once you and your instructor feel that you are ready for your test, you can schedule it with us.
Can you guarantee that I will pass my test?
No, we cannot guarantee that you will pass your driving test. We will teach you the skills that you need to be a successful driver, but we cannot say that you will always drive the way you’ve been taught.
